From NOT BRAND ECCH# 10, Gary Friedrich and Herb Trimpe give us their take on the classic Sixties album CHEAP THRILLS by Big Brother and the Holding Company (featuring a singer named Janis Joplin). The cover art was by Robert Crumb. It's one of the lost art forms, the album cover. Liddle CDs just don't have the space for the mind-altering compositions that rock albums had through the 1960s and 1970s. (They were often intricate and detailed on the reasonable assumption that a lot of stoned teenagers would be sitting around listening to the music and studying the cover as if it were the Rosetta Stone.)
