Cover art of some issues of "Planet Stories" as well suggests that Rita Hayworth may have cast a titian-maned spell over that generation of fantasists.

I red it when I was younger (15-20 years ago) and it really stroke me at this time.

then forgot it, remembered it, searched for the book, fount it after some real reasearch, red it again, and was profoundly disapointed ...

I found it a bit lame, not at all as vivid as before ...

That's the unpredictable thing about re-reading stories after many years. Sometimes what I found great seems dismal, but then stories I disliked as a kid seems excellent to my older tastes. It's a gamble.
