'I don't understand you,' said Alice. 'It's dreadfully confusing!'

Did you write that yourself its good and it's JUST what I was trying to get at. By "JAM" I guess you mean you play in a band? Are you ever in the Hudson Valley,our live music sucks.

So that's where that quote about jam came from. I assumed it was an old folksy expression.
Maybe it is, for all I know.
