Now I have been working in the food service industry for almost 3 years now. I love it lots of good people I work with and great regulars and what not. The only downside is when I get tables that mistake my kindness for weakness or run me ragged for 50 cents on a seventy dollar check. Now don't get me wrong I'm not some uber server able to do things at the speed of thought but when I have 10, 6, 8 and 4 people tables, I might take a little longer than normal but I get the fucking job done. I hate these trashy fuckin tables that come in and think that 7 people can share 30 skrimps (not a typo) and all ask for water sit there for 2 hours and leave a $1 tip think its cool to do that. If you come in 10 minutes before we close and you expect to sit there for 3 hours and eat, go right ahead we'll leave your fuckin ass there when we're ready to go and don't think that the food is the best because its late and no ones there. Guess what we want to leave at the end of our day too I would love to find out where you people work and come in there and make you wait for 2 or 3 hours after your ready to go and then make sure you lose money from your paycheck and see how you like it.
I know what your thinking "well if you don't make that much money you can quit" you're right and if you want a well done steak and lobster done in a hurry before you go and see you movie in an hour..... don't come in to a restaurant. By the way I know my friends who realize I and my fellow workers bust our ass working and take care of you and I appriciate it when you tip us right and know what we go through. Now I will not defend those servers who give shitty service ignore you and fuck up your order. The only thing I suggest is at the end of the meal and whe you get the check give them the bare minimum 15% and tell them they didn't deserve it and tell the manager or if you get a survey let them know what happened or call corporate. Now don't get me wrong if you see them giving bad service because they are swamped let them know its cool but just take care of you. Oh and don't act like your shit doesn't stink and make us feel like we're your private servants and can treat us bad because you should know to never fuck with people who handle your food. Word to the wise if your friend is being a dick to the server they will find a way to get them back if they are vindictive enough.
I know it sounds militant and shit but, bottom line is be good and we'll be good to you, if we do a great job make sure you let us know by leaving a great tip 20% or higher is nice, saying "you were awesome" and we hand you a check for 57.99 and you give us $60 and say the rest is your that pisses us off its a fucking shitty thing to do. but hey you do what you want and take your chances.
Oh and to my friends who went to Kendall Bennigan's and let me know about the shitty event that happened to you that night:
1. I'm sorry
2. most of the restaurants in Kendall seem to give bad service now
3. Hopefully that store and the one next to the falls will be closed soon
