Saturday:
I awoke on Saturday with my stomach still feeling a little off. Trisha had had a rough night thanks to the increased food and some booze, so we were all rather sluggish getting started. Katie and I went to breakfast at a place called Coogie's down the street. I got a breakfast quesadilla which was just ok and immediately upset my stomach again. After the lackluster breakfast, Katie and I went back to Trisha's place and prepped for dodgeball.
Dodgeball in the LA league was completely different than our league. It was basically like being back in elementary school again. The balls really hurt when they hit bare skin and there were about 40 people on the court at the start. It's a much more crazy, mind numbing way of playing. You could never really tell where the balls were coming from or who had them. I caught one, so that made me feel ok about the game, but we still lost miserably.
After, we headed back to Trisha's for a barbecue. Trisha has an awesome outdoor patio right in front of her house, so we grilled veggie dogs, turkey burgers and beef burgers. Her friend made a salad and we had tons of chip and dips. About an hour in, my cousin came over. He moved to LA after college and our parents pushed us to meet up when I was out there. It was good to catch up with him, and I assume it was good for him to see family since our entire family is on the East Coast. The barbecue didn't last extremely long, and my cousin awkwardly said goodbye since we were cleaning up.
Assuming we would go out for the evening, Trisha, Katie and I chilled in front of the tv for a while. Five hours later, we were in the same position and it became pretty evident that we weren't doing anything. We decided to get some frozen yogurt and call it a night.
