Just finished it (my eyelids kept failing me last night) -- HOLY MOTHER OF DEAN, WOMAN. That was... everything I could have wanted to emerge from that moment of whateverthefuckitwas on the stage at JIB. Fuck fuck fuck. How the hell am I supposed to go to work now?

If we don't see Misha in tonight's ep, I'm going to drown myself in the utterly delicious sexual tension of this fic like a pint of Ben & Jerry's. UNF.

Or is it just that I have all the backstory in my head...? IDK. OMG, totally not a failure on your part as storyteller: I'd say the opposite. The tantalizing images you evoked with two sentences makes me want to read about the ENTIRE thing posthaste. But certainly, finish the ROF so that we all can revel in its bendiness. THEN you can write us prequels and timestamps of this iteration of Cockles. : )

BTW, that last sentence (of mine) made me think of something -- how all these versions of Jensen & Misha are embodying the same people but are all slightly different universes. Even within your own fic: I see this Jensen & Misha existing in an entirely different universe that, say, the Scotch!verse Jensen & Misha. Does that make sense? Anyway, all the slight variations of them, existing parallelly remind me of an absolutely stunning & unforgettable little book:

I agree with you completely. There's a subset of characteristics around which each "Jensen" and "Misha" is built, but each and every one is a slight variation away from that core in a different direction. One Misha had a best friend that he wrote letters to no matter how many times he moved. One didn't. One Jensen experimented with guys when he first moved to LA. One didn't.
