New discovery: I don’t have to start at the story’s beginning and work/trudge my way to the end to continue with the work. With an outline, I can work on ANY part of the story. I found that if I’m not interested in slogging through a scene that doesn’t currently engage me, I can go to that particular part of the story that I currently have some great ideas for. I have to remember that this is a ZERO draft - full of mistakes and awful (as opposed to Awe Full) prose.
The windstorm that came through this past Sunday and knocked WAYYY too many tress over power lines and snapped poles has still left us working off the generator. The Propane Company is NOT complaining every time they come to fill the tank that powers the generator. NOTE: Gasoline generators use - well Gasoline. The gasoline that is currently available comes with an “Over the Road” tax. Propane doesn’t. The current gasoline has 10% alcohol - that attracts mice like you wouldn’t believe. They love to chew on anything in or around the alcohol aroma. The alcohol EATS fuel lines and makes them leak as quickly as one year of exposure.
The power company says we’ll have power by the end of the weekend. We’ll know that’s true when the generator cuts off after a few light flickers.
