Entry for Monday, 11 January 2010

Work has changed little in the two weeks I had away from the reading rooms. The first week was part time from home while the second week was spent completely free of work duties. One hospital called to ask if I was going to drive in and sign my reports. "Well," I said. "I was not part of my busy schedule. The preliminary reports are already out there, so, um, NO."
There was a chuckle at the other end of the phone line, "So," he said. "I take it that you're giving me a tentative maybe."
"Nope, I'm giving you a definite NO."
More sniggering at the other end of the line. I signed them today.

Where is yesterday's entry? Well, Doc was a bad lad yesterday. I spent the morning being slug-like and reading a book. Then the afternoon was tuning instruments and then off to class. Home for dinner, then a couple of hours playing "Borderlands" and then to bed.
Consequences include: no Gaming tonight. I'm on call (not a real consequence, but a detractor). Going to bed on time.

As a side benefit of Consequences, I work on the book upstairs away from the tempting Xbox360. This is a good Consequence.

More later,
Doc
