I've decided my "well-meaning" commenter from yesterday was actually Elton John. He didn't get the reaction he wanted from his "tough love" for Billy Joel in Rolling Stone, so he decided to bug me instead. You're unhealthy, dysfunctional even, and everyone encouraging you and keeping you company on LJ and Twitter is just enabling you. If you give the slightest shit about yourself and your loved ones, you need to require more of yourself, and so do your loved ones. The solutions are not simple, but that's not an excuse to regress and withdraw and self-parody instead of starting a serious return to wellness and better functioning. In theory you don't need anyone's rules or models to do this, but how many more years do you need to see that you're not getting better on your own? For now, you need help. Get your loved ones together and make a serious plan. A self-intervention, if you will.

If he didn't want any criticism he ought not to dish any out in the first place, let alone put it up where anyone at all can answer. Damn, what a waste this guy is. Ugh, I'll stop, lest I cause both of us to dwell on this worthlessness any longer.
Feel better, Doc. You deserve it.
