Peter and Dana were sitting on a park bench, talking. Buster, not such a puppy anymore was flopped on the pavement, with his head down. Snoozy time of day for dogs. Oscar was currently dancing around, and munching on Cheerios.
"So how does a spring wedding sound?" Dana asked, "April or May? Not June. The churches will be packed."
Peter remarked, "I guess, don't have to go fancy with this. Maybe just a quick civil ceremony?" Off the glare, he added, "No, huh?"
"Peter, you agreed we were going to do this right."
He clenched her hand reassuringly, "I know, and we will." He knew how important this was, especially after the mess with Andre for her. Hence why she was serious about big ceremony with lots of family and friends.
"We can invite some people from Milliways, right? Just a small crowd though."
She nodded, "Fine. Just some of them, can't fit everybody."
"Oh, no, only a 100 or 200 tops," He replied.
"Peter..." She warningly said, but then broke off, wincing. She touched her stomach.
"Kidding," He then frowned, "You ok? You're not having contractions are you? Do I need to boil water?"
She shook her head, "No, she's kicking." Oscar was also running over, worriedly now.
"Mommy? You ok?" She nodded, and touched his head.
Peter frowned, and then noticed something. There was a particularly menancing ghost with wings heading toward them. And right behind it, were the other guys, yelling to them.
"Here, you go with your mom, little man. Uncle Pete's gotta take care of something." He then gave a quick kiss to Dana.
"Be careful." She said to him.
Peter grinned, "Always am. Meet you back home." He then jogged over to his teammates, "What have we got, boys?"
Good to be back.
