14 N. Moore St. Manhattan, October 1992

October was never a pleasant month for the team. It was their most profitable month with all the ghost activity. But always a busy and nerve-wracking one.

So when the Ecto-2 pulled up inside the Firehouse, the team was looking to relax. Not to see a familiar older man with balding head, and similar features to Peter waving to them. Janine was currently trying to hold him back, but he kept walking toward them, dragging the stubborn secretary with him.

"My boy!" Charlie Venkman yelled as Peter got the car. His son was decidedly less pleased.

Ray and Egon exchanged glances at each other, "Uh-oh."

Winston hustled over to run interference, "Uh, here, man, let me help you with your gear." He started hustling Peter over to the lockers. While the other man continued throwing fuming glances back at his father.

Charlie seemed confused at that, and he said to the remaining two, "What's eating him? I know it's been a while."

Egon looked over at Ray like, 'You want to field this?' Ray gave a nod while Egon left to take care of the traps.

Ray then replied, "Uh, Mr. Venkman. This might be a bad time. We've been really swamped here, and Peter probably wants to go rest."

Charlie protested, "But I got something important to tell him! Big news, c'mon Ray. You know my boy. Let me talk to him."

Meanwhile, in the background, there was the loud slamming of locker doors, and hurried conversation.

"DAMMIT!" There was a slew of cursing that followed that, and Peter came back storming out.

Winston meanwhile restrained him some, "Uh, Peter, take it easy. Talk to him when you've cooled off."

Peter just shook him off, and glared at his father who seemed to take it in stride by commenting, "There's my boy. I know you've had a rough day, but don't you want to talk to your old man?"

Peter just spat out, "THREE FUCKING YEARS!" He looked like he wanted to say more, but then just stormed out to leave, slamming the door behind him.

Charlie blinked in confusion at that, "I know it's been a while, but what's the matter with him?"

Ray and Winston glanced at each other, and sighed.

"A lot has happened, Mr. Venkman. You might want to sit down." Ray remarked, and went to usher the older man to a seat.

"Oh like what?" Charlie asked he went along with him.
