Once More Into The Breech...
My (not-actually-)Habitat group may have found funding to resume Katrina rebuilding work, possibly starting as soon as November. (Amazingly, some of the Katrina disaster relief funding is _still_ in the process of making its way through the process... This batch apparently gets funnelled through United Way of Greater Louisiana.)
Our next destination will be Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana (I have no idea if that's spelled correctly). To save you the trouble of gmapping it: It's the tip of the Mississippi delta, south of New Orleans. And yes, I appreciate the irony of not getting around to rebuilding houses for these folks until after the BP oil spill wiped out one of their primary industries...
