Returned from the abyss...
... and never flying United again. Having to say "no" to attempts at upsells 6 times during check-in was bad enough. Finally getting to my seat and realizing that I was going to spend the entire f**king trip with the seat ahead of mine against my knees? Yeah, not doing this again (unless it's business travel and $CUSTOMER is willing to spring for a ticket that gets me out of cattle class). And of course, I had to deal with the same nonsense on the way home.
