I think there's some kind of curse on the teachers at my school. More of them have got seriously sick this year than they ought to. First Ms. F got cancer, then Ms. D also got cancer, and now Mr. W is mysteriously absent and says that he will probably be out for a while. Plus there was my voice teacher who died last year, and two people have died at this school in the last two years: a student and a teacher. And my French teacher's parents are having medical trouble. Maybe I'm being paranoid, but it's like all the teachers around me are doomed. Sure, it's paranoid, but to quote Harry Dresden, just because you're paranoid doesn't mean that there isn't an invisible demon about to eat your face.
On the topic of Dresden, I just finished reading the third book. Freaky sex vampires, the Fist of God, tormented ghosts, and Bob's eternal snarkiness make for fascinating reading. Certainly better than Schindler's List, which was what I was supposed to be watching when I finished reading the book.
