Ramblings
Well I took the NOPD civil service exam this past saturday, and felt that it went well. I should hear back on the result in a couple of weeks. In other news we are having a birthday party in my backyard over the barbecue pit for our friend fran. Waterman and Sousa say they are going to practice for the mace exam by macing each other in the face and I talked them into doing it as entertainment for the party. so saturday night should be fun assuming I'm not called into work.
In other news Im sure you've all gathered how much I love the movie "Stardust". I can't remember whether it was waterman or my brother who told me that Stardust was one of those rare instances where the movie was far better than the book. but seeing as how I loved the movie so much I thought I ought to read the book. So I ordered it from amazon. And while it was a somewhat entertaining read, it was for lack of a better word...Lame. Its hardly a slight on the author, as Neil Gaiman wrote the screenplay and had a major hand in directing the movie. but it was like he picked out everything wrong with the plot of the book and corrected it in the movie. wierd.
