April Update
1) Our house is still in in the midst of post-moving chaos with boxes everywhere! Got the hot-tub working though, and I bought and assembled a new Whalen 'Austin' TV stand for our Sony Bravia flatscreen TV and a Samsung soundbar with wireless sub-woofer to work with it.
2) Attended the Canadian Geriatric Society's annual meeting in Toronto. While the meeting itself was a bit lackluster I networked with colleagues and met up with old friends and students (including two who flew in from Saudi Arabia)! While in Toronto I took advantage to do some shopping at the Bay (lots of nice shirts! and ties!), and BMV.
3) Work is still doing okay, but lots of administrative headaches about what to do with some soon to be departing colleagues. I may have to be creative and look at non-Geriatrician options. Attempts to recruit in Toronto were not successful as everyone is either happy where they are or want something I can't give them...
4) Doing little in terms of reading, alas, but I did finish an Archer Mayor 'Joe Gunther) book just last night, and I finished 'Space Captain Smith' while in Toronto last week.
5) Also last week I squired around a visiting Australian MD, who was interested in how we did things; he even shadowed me doing rounds at one of the hospitals I work at.
