I made note of
this in my LJ last summer when i first read about it in the paper, before he left:
Entry from July 21...When i read about what Bob was planning to do, it was really inspirational to me. One of those unique things that reminds a person that there is more to the world than daily routines...
Anyway, today the paper had a
front-page article about an accident in Mississippi - An 18-wheeler plowed into his RV from behind and demolished it (rather like the DeLorean on the train tracks in the last Back to the Future, i'd imagine...) Two of his horses were killed in the crash, and he ended up in serious condition in the hospital. It must have been pretty awful to behold...
Anyway, reading about this tragic end to something wonderful kind of had me teary eyed. I figured since i mentioned it back then, i'd mention it again now.
And, Rest in peace Dolly and DeeDee. I never knew you, but i'm sure you were wonderful, gentle people.
Best of luck to Bob in his recovery. Hopefully his dreams weren't left on the side of the highway with the rest of the wreckage.
