This was featured in one of the newspapers this morning... I immediately thought of cypherwulf and wolf_bite as i often do when i read about people taking sudden out-of-the-ordinary turns on their paths through life. But others might find it interesting, too.

'Skelding's trip is about likes and dislikes. After going through a divorce, he made a list of his favorite things: horses, traveling, meeting new people, and writing. Then he took stock of what he could do without: bills and the daily grind of a job. Plus, both his kids are nearly out of college, making this a good time for a change.
"Life hands you little opportunities," Skelding said last week. "Life rearranged itself, so I took all of the things I like and got rid of the things I didn't."'
