Pennsic Stuff
So rather than trying to a day by day I think I will do what Rusty did (blatantly stolen ideas are the writers workshop) and post some memories.
- Seeing Mateo, Cameron and Rigo walking into camp that first day, finally realizing that I would be getting to hang with the boys.
- Having a mission go off without hitch.
-Getting into the 5 man melee semi finals with Cameron, Leona, Alwhin and Edward. (Team name: A Mic, A Mac, 2 Limeys and a Kraut)
- Getting my bad ass doctor's coat that Eithni made for me.
- Drinking lots of scotch with Her Majesty and the boys.
- Teaching Alwhin how to resist torture by feeding him bad booze and good booze.
- Riato's powerful socks.
- Rusty and his Ninja Please! (still laughing)
-I swear I rubbed it on my leg not my butt!
- Hanging with the Wednesday Company folks and Moira, who were gracious listening to my stories and nice enough to get me out of the bog when I was too drunk to do it myself.
- Watching the pie-eyed looks of new fencers from other kingdoms when they were introduced to me.
- Mateo and I getting to hang for a bit at a ship and no politics.
- The fire eater that had much shorter hair than he came to Pennsic with.
- Shopping with Sarah
- Giving Alwhin permission to attack me at anytime to keep up my chops, ala Pink Panther.
- Eithni's...well just Eithni's ability to do everything and still have time for chocolate milk. She was a rock star!
- Little squirrels that look like little Dons
-Pretty much all of the time Cameron and I got to hang out.
- Watching Tristan get his white scarf while trying to strip my robe off to cover him up as he was being called into court.
- That crazy ass encampment that looked like a Spanish courtyard.
- The Northshield Pavillion bringing some folks together that may not have normally hung, so in one aspect the rain was good.
- A tent full of people working on their Kermit the Frog and Tristan impressions.
- Linen is bliss and I will be draping myself in it from now on.
This is not all inclusive but the ones that come to mind most readily. Regardless of all the rain and foot pain I did have a blast and would be inclined to do it again, if nothing else, just to hang with the boys again.
