[006] Returned?

Jul 26, 2007 21:42

So.

A jail cell, a grand series of adventures, 1 broken pencil, 50 sudoku puzzles, a hop skip and jump through the time vortex, and a chicken! And voila! I have returned ( Read more... )

...Just a quick question but...are you crazy?

Seriously here...I mean, you sound like you've either gone insane or stupid. Judging by what people are calling you though, I'm hoping the latter really isn't the case.

And a quick update to your little lesson. The Laptop is mightier than the pen(cil) that is mightier than the sword.

Crazy and loving it!

However, I wouldn't call myself stupid. I'm afraid of the man (especially human- you are human, right?) who'd call me stupid. I don't know if the world ended or if he didn't know who or what he was dealing with.

And to update your update, the laptop may be mightier than the pencil. But it was a pencil that was helping me get out of prison when I didn't have access to a computer.

And if I had a laptop, it probably would be in pieces by now. No offense meant, because they're amazing- it's great seeing you lot get so good with technology- but your laptops have a lot of room for improvement. There are better pieces inside of other uses than for using the laptop itself as... well... a computer.

Oh no...oh no no no no my silly little friend.

Normal people, AKA idiots, have laptops with room for improvement. My laptops, however, are custom made, by yours truly, to a specific set of specs that assure they are the of the highest quality.

By the time I'm dead, buried and rotted away, the rest of the world would have released standard issue laptops that are almost as good as mine.

Although, I wouldn't expect someone who is stupid crazy to actually know that before hand.

Oh, then I'm sure of that being just slightly better then.

Though I can't help but ask- where (and when) are you from?

Well- I'm not a gambling man, but I'm willing to bet that I know a bit more than you expect me to.

Alright. I am from Earth...which, just in case you're wondering, is in the Milky Way Galaxy. Year 2007.

And, while I look down strictly on gambling, I'm sure that I know more than you're willing to admit.

Oh, I know where Earth is. I love that place.

And year 2007? Good, good... Hmm...

Well, if that's the case. Why don't we get started with the sorts of things you know, then?

Yes yes, Earth is nice and homey. I much prefer Pegasus myself...when my current homestead isn't trying to kill me that is. Much more to do there than on Earth...and the best part of all is the severe lack of idiots that I need to bother myself with.

Though, that seems to have come back tenfold as of late.

And frankly, there isn't enough time to list everything I know, so I'll narrow it down to the best of my ability.

Science (Medical and psychological do NOT count)
Technology
Almost everything worth knowing

Yes...that works. Quite well I think.

Oh! Humans have made it out to Pegasus? Already? Blimey, I must be behind on my history.

Another scientist, then? Excuse me. Science and technology? Great. My line of work. I could always use someone who is able to understand what I'm saying. now and then.

Though, I'm afraid to admit, that it doesn't always help the case. I tend to get carried away with my explanations. Really.

Well, that's nice. Judging by your choice in slang, I'm guessing British or...Irish. In both cases, I'm so sorry.

Yes well, I know exactly the feeling there...seeing as how I often have deal with the military. However I am more often than not surrounded by people of a barely recognizable intelligence, so I'm safe from needing to explain what I've just explained.

Well... I kinda like England? That's about the only thing I can say about that.

And oh, you're plenty safe from having to explain yourself to me. A genius scientist from 2007 Earth? Psh. Easy.

...Oh yes, and I'm sure everything sounds so much simpler when you're crazy, which you stated yourself about yourself.

I don't know. You may be smart and all... but there are times that when the smartest of humans will finally meet their match.

So it's nice to meet you... what is your name again?

Reply

hotrod_mckay July 27 2007, 04:58:49 UTC
Yes, I met my match once. He envied me. Funnily enough, my match was me from another universe. He was too happy for my tastes.

Moving on. Doctor Rodney McKay, greatest scientific mind in the Milky Way and Pegasus galaxies, bar none. And...you are?

...aside from crazy.

Well, you don't know me well enough, then do you. We'll have to see about that.

Anyway, Rodney McKay, I'm the Doctor.

Genius and crazy often go hand in hand, you know.

...Doctor...

Doctor who?...or of what?

Yes well, please don't take offense to this, but I often try and stay away from crazy people I don't know. The ones I do know cause me enough grief.

Just the Doctor. Really. I don't need any other names. This one gets me in trouble enough as it is.

Stay away from crazy people you don't know? Well, you keep coming back- too much to be curious about. Strange man from outerspace jibbering on about things in an odd manner. You can't help but be curious, can't you?
