Your sweet moonbeam, the smell of you in every single dream I dream. I knew when we collided, you're the one I had decided who's one of my kind. )
He sighed, lowering his hand and staring at his bedroom floor. He hadn't been sleeping well since the incident. He was so tired that even the frustration failed to get more than a flare up.
He put the sunglasses in place as he reached up to touch his communicator, signalling her. Might as well get it over with.
"I'm on my way."
It took him a minute to stand up and compose himself enough to leave his quarters.

Yes, she wanted to see him, but... she didn't know how to handle it once she did. Maybe if she just kept her mouth shut, things would work out a little better... but if she didn't tell him something, he was just going to ruin whatever life he had.
She sighed, getting things ready for when he showed up.

He hesitated at the door, hand reaching out towards the chime. He paused before pushing it. It was now or never. And claiming that he wasn't feeling well and heading back to bed wasn't an option when he was trying to avoid a doctor.
Reply
Alright, Holiday, deep breath. You're mature enough to handle this. You shouldn't be FREAKING TERRIFIED. He's just a patient that you need to take another look at. That's all.
Just... another patient.
She stopped what she was doing to walk over to the door. Deep breath. Slow. In. Out. Good. She clicked the door open to look at him. She... had no idea what to say... but at least she was composed a little better than last time. Tired, but... composed.
"This isn't a bad time?"
Start off easy.

He slid past her and into the lab. He glanced at the chair and silently hoped for something other than the Rorschach tests and the electrodes. He really wasn't in the mood to talk.

"I was wanting to get in an MRI, if that's alright with you. If not, I had some others planned," she told him quietly and professionally, walking back to the desk and finishing up what she already was getting ready.

He sat down on the edge of the table that would be pulled into the machine. He picked up the headphones, preparing to put them on his ears. MRIs tended to be noisy and take a while. It would be a welcome distraction.
He didn't look at her. To be honest, he'd been avoiding looking at her since the beginning. He didn't want to see her doing the same.
Despite what she'd said a week ago, she clearly still wanted her Six back. At least he could try and give him to her.

Oh, she could gauge it, alright.
Holiday internally sighed, before fully turning her attention to him. She... didn't want to say it and, honestly, she was half asleep, so she held out her hand.
"... Sorry."

Oh. Right. Magnetic Resonance Imaging involved powerful magnets.
He stood up and walked a few feet away. Then he removed his swords and their holders, lying them carefully on the ground. Watch, wallet, shuriken, that knife in his shoe, every hidden weapon he had on him, all were set down on the floor with his swords.
He hesitated for a moment before finally removing his sunglasses, setting them down on top of the pile. He rubbed at his eyes for a moment before retreating back to the MRI machine and sitting down on it again.
She was probably going to notice the dark rings around his eyes. He pretended they weren't there, hoping she'd take a hint not to bring them up.

She just wonders if it were her fault. Probably so.
After a beat of silence between the two, she walks over to the controls. "Alright, let's get started," she tells him, getting it ready.

He lied back and took a breath. He was going to have to hold as still as possible for this. Hopefully, she wouldn't need to use any contrast. It always left a funny taste in his mouth.
Reply
She'll turn that on once things were going. The MRI whirred to life.
"You ready?" Nope, no contrast. She just wanted a regular scan for now... at least.
Reply
Louder, he said, "Ready."
He closed his eyes. Well, here went everything, he supposed.

Holiday let out a breath of air she didn't know she was holding, while she let the machine whirr to life for a second or so. Things were running good so far.

Give me the Beach Boys and free my soul. I wanna get lost in your rock and roll and drift away...
Six wondered if the other Six had set up the playlist on purpose to start off with that particular song or if it had been a haphazard collection of songs that he happened to like just like he himself did.
He took calming breaths through his nose. Even with the music, he could hear the periodic rattle and thump from the MRI. Holding perfectly still wasn't fun for any length of time, and it seemed like the moment he'd slid into position that he felt the need to move again.

After rubbing an eye, she wondered if he would leave once the test was done, whether or not he was concerned about the results. Their last meeting didn't go very well. At all.
More importantly, she didn't know if she wanted him to leave once it was done... No, she didn't. She was terrified he would, though. Even more scared that he would keep his eyes away from her and be silent if he stayed.
She glanced back to his weapons and shades... and frowned.
