Random Thought of the Day

Video games today leave something to be desired. Of course there’s new snazzy technology to make any gaming experience the best it can be, but sometimes the game being absolute shit can completely ruin what is supposed to be a time of fun. Nowadays I find that shopping for a new game is like an intense battle between my intuition and my wallet. Do I buy this game that looks really cool or wait until I have some info to determine whether it actually is cool? I have more than once found myself in the situation where reading the back of the game cover and then taking it home and playing it is much akin to loaning your friend money for hookers and blow only to have him saunter into the living room a couple hours later with his grandmother and some pixie sticks. Those moments where I simply stop in the middle of playing and become constipated with anger. I’m not quite sure how that works but that is definitely what it feels like. I’m getting scared to buy games and I’m getting sick of my old ones. Woe is me.

I think I might go out* and get that new Batman game everyone has been creaming their panties over the past couple weeks.

*And by “go out” I mean to move my finger and click on my Amazon bookmark.

Where are all the good games at?

what, random, video games
