No, not much in my life has changed (although I have got into 'Second Life'), aside from my featuring in a main part of the recent ''Allo 'Allo' stage production. Voluntary, of course

the problem is that your beliefs are erroneous. you think you have investigated and found truths when all you have done is read other media reports and political reports that are skewed and biased. I could find a number of similar items negating your "truths". A responsible voter in the USA, of which you are not, knows to disregard those reports and look into official records, government reports and other unbiased sources. If you did that, you would find that palin did have rape victims charged for rape kits, but the victims insurance was generally paying. But they were still charged and screwed if you didn't have insurance. She also does not believe women should have abortions in cases of rape or incest. She only "tolerates" homosexuals and she is not one who wants to leave the gay marriage issue to the states. She wants to limit marriage to a man and a woman. Obama wants to let the states decide. It just really infuriates me to have you spewing misinformation when it does not even involve you. You have no idea what has really been going on here in the campaigns, with the economy and with the war. It is irresponsible to post things such as this where there may be people who are actually able to vote here and might , god forbid, take your careless words at face value. I can't believe you bought in to that crap. My only solace is that you can't vote here.
(1) With respect, you have yet to show that I exclusively look at reports which are "skewed and biased". :) I do my best to look for the whole picture of something, which is something you should know about me. If I happen to post from a certain blog or whatever, then it's merely because that source has the best links and such on it. I have posted links from neutral, Left-wing and Right-wing things, in the past and, needless to say, because of my status, it's pretty much impossible fo rme to be partisan, even if I wanted to.
In the above, for instance, I've posted a video of a real event, a couple of links which merely report Obama's own media releases and another, which is probably the most objective, of all, as it's specifically for anyone to contribute to, in teh comments section, with links to either prove or disprove the various rumours about her, one way or the other. If you wanted to correct something on there, you, yourself, are as welcome to, as anyone else would be.
(2) I never mentioned the economy. I would, however, point out, that a stable economy is useless if you have a weak national security.
I'm also curious as to why you infer you are a lot more knowledgeable on matters to do with the war on terror, than I am. In what regard did you mean that remark?
(3) Why such massive over-reaction? What's with all the comments about me "spewing" things? What's wrong with me simply having a different political viewpoint to you? Why is it "irresponsible" for me to engage in my right to free speech? Is this journal not my own to do with as I please or would you seek to have it shut down for 'dangeorus thoughts' or some such? Because that's what declaring it as "irresponsible" infers, to me. :/
I'm certainly not going to do the opposite of 'taking solace' in the fact that you can vote for the opposite campaign. On the contrary, I celebrate your right to do so. That you do such a thing, in regards to me, however, suggests you'd have some sort of personal hatred thing going on, if I ever could vote there.
And as a friend, that's a really depressing thought.
(4) From what I have heard, Palin prefers the decentralisation approach. If she's in favour of a blanket Federal ban on homosexual marriage, then that would be something I would most certainly disagree with her on. So far as I'm aware, she's isn't seeking to put some sort of eternal Federal ban on it, however. If she is, then I would appreciate knowing. Nevertheless, it would only be one issue out of many and, on the whole, I argee with more things she has said, than Biden, who keeps shifting position all over the place; especially regarding the military and dealing with various terrorist states, which does affect me.
As I understand it, Governors can't hand out rape kits and Alaskan hospitals charge peoples' insurance for the ER visits. In fact, it seems it's been illegal for police to bill rape victims insurance for the rape kits since 2000. The Wasilla police chief at the time, Charlie Fallon, said he doesn't think it's fair police have to pay, that the criminal should pay and pay restitution to the victims.
The Chief of Police in Wasilla was asking potential rape victims' insurance to pay for rape kits (policy in a number of States, including Missouri and North Carolina) and wanted the authority to make the perpetrator to pay for it as part of restitution. The news coverage came when the previous Governor of Alaska signed a bill forbidding cities from charging for rape kits, at all. The part about it being while Palin was Governor was apparently quite false.
Then, of course, there's Maria Cornella, Palin's spokeswoman, who told USA Today that Palin, "does not believe, nor has ever believed, that rape victims should have to pay for an evidence-gathering test."
And hopefully, that's shown you that I am open-minded enough to delve behind the headlines, when it comes to stuff. :)
Now, please, why can't we just agree to disagree on politics and simply be friends?

But as I said, I'm happy to agree to disagree with people, when it comes to politics.
