More than 100 foreigners have been abducted by insurgents in Iraq over the past 17 months, as part of a campaign to destabilise the US-backed interim government and drive foreign troops out of the country.

I'm a super-senior, and I still struggle with class. I've been up nights and mornings because of midterms, and I might still not graduate this December.
Same shit, different semester.
Anyway, here's something new: last week, Thy tells me that Dad plans to go to Iraq to work as an A/C contractor for Halliburton. They will pay him $150 G's a year to fix and install A/C systems in the Iraqi desert, and he says we need the money because he's unemployed and we've two children in college (I'm one of those money-sinks). He would be gone for only 4 months at a time for God-knows-how long. He knows a few people who've gone over there and claims that it won't be dangerous because he'll be working only on base.
I think that covers it.
First thing that popped in my head was all the news I've absorbed about terrorists kidnapping and executing foreign nationals, so I flipped out on the phone. But Mom was very calm about it (though I suppose when Dad makes a decision, nothing anyone says can change him much).
There is more to say, I'm sure, but I'm too tired to think and organize anything right now.
