Health Update

Got my test results today. I have positive ANA levels, which the internet tells me could mean many things. I really hope it's not lupus. I've been referred to the rheumatologist. Waiting eagerly for my referral to come in the mail so that I can make an appointment ( Read more... )

Yeah, if you check out my last entry, I go into it a bit. Mostly, I've been inflamed all over, and my muscles have been feeling tired like after you work out. I've actually found that it's better when I keep moving, so I've been making sure to go to kickboxing this week, and flexing my fingers as much as possible.

It's new every morning! This morning it was my wrists that hurt.

What was your LDL ("bad") level?

HDL 44
Triglycerides 72
Something else called VLDL 14

I don't know what any of these mean.

LDL = low-density lipoprotein (bad cholesterol)
HDL = high-density lipoprotein (good cholesterol)
VLDL = very low-density lipoprotein (really bad cholesterol)
triglycerides = one of the byproducts when fats are broken down, more a reflection of your diet than your genes

Overall, lipid profile is really good :-)
