Creative Muses February- What kind of legacy do you hope to leave behind?

Peter couldn’t remember anything. He hadn’t even known his own name until those thugs had called him by it. He knew that these guys had found him, shirtless and chained up in a cargo container in Ireland. They had found a box of things that they claimed were clues to his identity and past. He now knew that his name was Peter Petrelli, his home was in New York City, and there was someone he was very close to, who vaguely resembled him but didn’t look familiar at all. He knew nothing about the kind of person he was, the kind of life he had led, and the people he had left behind. He knew now that he was here in Ireland, and that the most important person in his life right now was Caitlin. She kept asking him things about his life. He knew she was curious because of what she’d seen him do. Since being found in the container, Peter had shot lightning out of his fingertips, flung a man across an entire room seemingly effortlessly, almost choked a man to death using only his mind, passed his arms through knotted ropes tying to a chair, and heard a man’s voice in his head when the man wasn’t saying a word. Caitlin kept urging him to find out about his past, to return to who he had been. Peter wasn’t sure, however. What if he didn’t like who he had been? What if the reason he was away from New York with no memory was because of something terrible? He wanted much more to focus on the present and the future. Caitlin, and these abilities that he had. He didn’t know why he could do things, or how, or whether anyone else in the world could, but he knew that it had to be for a reason. As much as he wanted to believe Caitlin, Peter believed that he could build a legacy for his future without his past. One built on extraordinary things.
