Yesterday I went to massage clinic and we were evacuated because the ceiling fell. Nobody was hurt - and the building is still supposedly structurally sound. But all the plaster came down in one room... just a little scary.
Since clinic was cancelled I was able to go shopping and got my first pair of Keens - they just seem so practical for going back and forth between doing massage and going to the beach. I had an ethical dilemma - buying them from a local store or getting them $30 cheaper online. I decided to go with the local store because it really is local. As for the $35 lock I needed to buy from Best Buy - I've decided to go for the $7 online one since it's a huge corporation anyway.
After shopping, I went to the first Focus the Nation event. I got to hear Erica Wheeler - a local vocalist. She was very funny and had great folk-sey songs.
I also found out I should be able to get free health insurance through the MA government for a few months while I'm still a resident!
