Brendon pushed Pete's hands off his chest and continued to change. It hadn't been a bad show, except for the throwing up. He wasn't ill, just dehydrated and he hadn't how the retching had screwed with his voice. Brendon was upset and he didn't want to be around people. He wanted to sit in a corner with his favourite blanket, curl up and pretend that he wasn't crying.
Instead, he had a dressing room full of people asking how he was, Zack forcing water down his throat and Pete trying to get him to keep his clothes off. Brendon didn't want to be angry at them, they were only being his friends, his best friends, but they weren't helping.
He let them all calm down and slipped out of the door when no one was looking. He wondered around, looking for a dark room to slump in. He didn't find one, but there was a hallway. It was dark enough. Brendon slid down the wall, tucking his face into his arms and let his body do what it needed to.
After a few minutes, he felt a body next to him, an arm on his back and a face close to his own. He turned to see Pete staring worriedly at him. Brendon smiled weakly and pushed his face forward so their foreheads were resting together.
Pete sighed lightly and pushed their lips together, meeting dry skin with wet. He moved his hand gently through Brendon's hair, stroking it. He could feel Brendon's body raking with sobs and he pulled him closer, desperate to stop it.
Brendon pushed up into Pete's hand, breaking the kiss. They rested their heads together and Pete slipped his hand to rest around Brendon's back. The two stayed there for a while, just long enough to let the others worry and come to find them.
I don't know. These aren't coming out exactly right. Damn it. Hope you like it.
