Sushi Alert!!!

Sep 23, 2005 18:40

I just found the best sushi joint in these parts! AND... it's one of those BYOB places so that means that:
a) you get to have your favorite beer and saki
b.) you get to drink it when you want it and not have to wait for those oh so slow beer bringers
c.) it costs a lot less
d.) life is good!

Ahhhhh! It's those simple pleasures that keep me smiling.
( note to self: allow extra $$$ each week for sushi extravagances)

My cat is a crazy deaf 'tard and y'know what they say about people and their pets... I was just today accused of becoming a little more loony toony ever since I got my crazy kitty kat. Infact... my most recent not-ex-enough boy- not- so-friend thinks that it was the kitty that broke us up. Hmmmm. That would be a good thing. Kittys rule big time. I can predict the future. I'm going to end up as one of those little old ladies with 300 cats. I'm glad.

I'm watching the storm details on CNN. I'm trying to recall if I know anyone in Texas. My mom used to own a little fishing resort in Rockport near Corpus Christi - I guess I still remember a few folks in that region. I hope you're all in a safe place.
I'm not exactly sure what my morbid facination is re: hurricane Rita except that when Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans... I was on vacation and did not even realize what happened until the Thursday afterwards.

I've had a very challenging week. In retrospect however, it was not that bad. A learning experience I guess. Things in my life are changing rapidly and I like it a lot. Who was it who coined the phrase, " I eat change for breakfast."? Tom Robinson? Well, " It's a good thing." ( Martha Stewart)

I know people that havn't changed in over 20 years - really. Live in the same house, work at the same job, same partner, same day to day ho hum.
Nope. Not me. Change is good.
"And that's all I have to say about that." ( Forrest Gump)
