Mia--
Again I am amazed at how much you have changed in just one month! This has been a busy month for us and you have adapted so well! I think you handle change much better than your parents. Both of us have been emotional wrecks lately and you have been our little rock of stability! Mommy is back at work and being gone from you all day is so hard. I think about you all the time and look forward to seeing you when I pick you up in the afternoon. Luckily, you are in good hands with C. & her kids. They love playing with you and take good care of you and you never seem to mind being with them! Another sign of your easy-going nature!
You have also miraculously started sleeping all night in your crib. At first when Mommy or Daddy would put you down you would start to cry immediately. Now, you seem to welcome the space to stretch out. I love peeking in on you throughout the night and seeing your little chest rising and falling with your deep-sleep breathing. I'm surprised you get any peace with how much your dad & I sneak in to look at you! You have also started to look more and more like a little person with your sleepers on--even though your feet still don't quite fit in them like they should.
Your feet and hands have become your favorite playthings. You still haven't quite mastered the art of thumbsucking, but you will stick whatever fingers you can in your mouth in an effort to calm yourself. You also try to get those toes to reach your mouth, but they don't quite stretch that far yet. You make the funniest faces when you concentrate on your toes. It's serious business for you and nobody better try to stop you! You will also try to pull yourself to sitting when we grab your hands. The doctor says that you are going to be a "little mover." However, you seem just as happy to lie there watching the world rather than rolling over.
I am still blown away that you are ours and I am amazed at how much you have made my life even happier! Soon you will be moving all around and we will get to know you as a totally different baby. It's going so fast....too fast!
I love you, sweetkins!
Mommy
