Dear Mia---
Wow! What a difference a month can make! I am amazed at how much you have grown and changed. Suddenly your little body is getting rounder and there are more chubby areas showing up, esp. around your legs. You are seeming less and less like a little baby and more like a little person. Even the way you cry has changed. I can tell now when you are more annoyed rather than hungry and when you are crying for attention rather than the breast! You are also beginning to make lots of different noises and squeals that make me laugh. You love to talk to Daddy and together you guys can have quite an incoherent, but heart-warming conversation. You also are smiling a lot and sometimes you have this coy little smile that seems to say "Aren't I just the cutest thing ever?" Yes, yes, yes!
You are now almost sleeping through the night. When I wake up in the morning and look down at you there are mornings when you seem to be watching me and waiting patiently for me to wake up. You smile up at me and make waking up completely worth it! Now, if we could just get you to realize how comfortable sleeping in your crib could be!
This next month will be hard for us. Mommy is going back to work and you will be going to spend the days with C. She will take good care of you and I will spend the day thinking of you and counting down the hours until I see you again. Know, darling, that this is one of the hardest things that I am doing. I can't be sure it's the right choice, but I have to see.
I love you, sweetheart!
Mommy
