(It's early in the morning, in the mansion. It was early back where L came from, too, around three in the morning... In a hallway by one of the kitchen sits L, against the wall, his pink hair a little longer since last time and starting to show black roots. He looks... weary. Like he hasn't eaten or slept at all in a while

...L? ::stares for a moment, not really believing her eyes. She steps closer, her eyes wide, but worried, but oh so hopeful::

(Smiles broadly, and walks forward, pulling her into a hug)
I... I missed you.
Are you-- how have you been?

[misamisal]

::squeezes him tightly, as if she's holding on for dear life. She begins crying, but it's happy tears:: Oh L! I thought I'd never see you again! I'm so glad you're back! I saw you leave and I didn't even get to say goodbye, or find out where she was taking you! ::gives him a kiss on the cheek, but continues to hug him:: I've missed you so much!!

(Hugs tightly back, smiling broadly)
I'm glad I'm back too, Misa. I thought I'd never find my way back again.
(Looks a little sad)
I'm sorry I did not get to say goodbye, Misa; she took me rather abruptly, back to my own universe...

(Pulls back a little and wipes her tears away with his thumb,smiling happily again)
I'm glad to see you.
It was pretty miserable without my friends around me.

*walks up, looking pleasantly surprised.*

You're back!

Light will be pleased to hear it... I'm pleased to hear it. We had quite a disagreement over how to handle your disappearance. What happened?

(Smiles, happy to see him)
Oh, hello again!
Yes, I'm back. Very happy to be.

...Are you? More people have been saying that than I expected.
Disagreement? ...It didn't involve Mihael, the Mello who wears dresses, did it? (Looks a little angry as he says that, but he looks away and then sighs, biting his thumb)

The Assistant, you know who that is, yes? The Assistant caught up with me and forced me to leave. She said I was causing too much trouble, and she took me to my home universe.
(Looks up at him wearily)
That... wasn't fun.

::nods:: I came around the corner of the hall, just in time to see her drag you through a door. When I ran to the door to follow, it was just painted on.

You went back to your universe? What was it like there? How long were you there for?

::smiles at him brushing the tears off her face:: Thank you. :)

::motions to firm_detective:: This L and his Light helped cheer me up after you were taken. ::smiles sheepishly:: they actually found me crying in my room. ::turns to the aformentioned L:: Thank you again, by the way. I was going to a bad place before the two of you showed up. :)

*smiles*

Don't mention it. In fact, Misa, I'd like to talk to you soon about what you mentioned that day, if you have the time. But I won't take you away from your friend so soon.

::her eyes get a little wider:: Ah, yes, I'm glad. Whenever you're ready, just come by my room and we can chat about it.
Um, speaking of which... where is Light? I see you're not wearing the handcuffs.

All right, later today, then.

He's been refusing to leave the room for the past few days... since the day he punched that... other Yagami. I don't like to leave him, but I don't think that I should let the two of us starve to death because he's in a sulk, either.

He's rarely a cheerful sunflower, if that's what you mean... but no, I think there are... extenuating circumstances.

::snickers at his cheerful sunflower remark:: Well, I suppose that's true. ::sobers up:: Do you think he'll be okay? Perhaps I could come visit. Maybe I could get him to perk up a little. If anything, I could make him some comfort food.

He seems fine, if... depressed. I've been bringing him food. He stopped refusing to eat it last night, which is probably a good sign. I'm sure he'll be willing to come out sooner or later.

::smiles:: Good, I'm glad. I'm sure it's been difficult for both of you. Has he just been laying in bed then? Poor Light.

No, he's been lying in bed blasting the same song... well, a few of the same songs... over and over. Assuming he's nourished, I doubt there's any need to feel bad for him... he seems to feel bad enough for himself already.
