*Misa was wandering around, trying to find a room that would be interesting, but not... you know, bad. She follows up on this by opening up a door at random.

[Matt's feeling more restless than usual, opening un-Xed doors at random as he rambles around the halls, cigarette in hand. He spots the table in this one, and is puzzled by how the word for what's on it is just a blank space in his head.]

Hey, it's one of those... Uh. Whaddyacallems.

Yeah, exactly! It's a... um... a whatchumacalit... I just... I can't remember!!

[onlydisappear]

Weird. [He rubs at the back of his neck with the hand not holding the cigarette.]

We haven't met, I don't think. Misa, yeah?

[spazzykira]

Oh! Yeah, I don't think we have... but yep, I'm Misa! You're Matt, right?

That's me. I've been kinda, y'know, keeping to myself a little.

Think this room does anything?

[spazzykira]

Really? Any particular reason why?

And this room? I don't think so... I mean, I haven't felt anything yet. I think it just has this... uh... this... thing.

[He shrugs.] Just having an anti-social phase, y'know?

If it were gonna kill us, it would've tried by now, ha. [He frowns at the table.] Yeah... damn it, I know it's useful, but, like, for what?

That makes sense. I guess it happens to us all~

And I know exactly what you mean!! *she tilts her head to the side and squints* If you do this, it sort of looks like the thing from that movie...

[He imitates her.]

Hey, yeah. Where they needed it to-- Shit, it's right on the tip of my tongue.

[He shakes his head. It's one of those things that'll come to him if he stops trying, he thinks.]

How long have you been here?

[spazzykira]

Huh? *She spins her head to look him in the face, and has to shake her head for a second at the sudden spin.* Oh, um... about a month now? Give or take? I'm not sure about exactly how long I've been here... but somewhere around there, I'd guess.

Oh, a newbie, ha. It's been more than a year for me.

[spazzykira]

Over a year?? Oh wow... that is a long time! I... should I be impressed with that? I don't... just... wow. That's... a long time.

Better than being where I came from. Where I'm. You know.

[He points to the space above his head, where he knows his information would appear if he were alive. Most Misas he's met here still have the eyes, though the one in his world had lost her memories.]

[spazzykira]

*Misa pauses. She's still denying that she's the second Kira (she's from post-Yotsuba!Kira, pre-L's death) so she doesn't want to give away that she has the eyes, and thus, is the second Kira, but... he doesn't seem mean, or like he wants to hurt her...

She compromises by deciding to believe that he's dead at home, that she'll check above his head later, and she looks straight at his face.*

Uh... yeah, I heard that other yous are... yeah... so I guess that makes sense.

[Matt's in the habit of taking people at face value, so he drops his hand to rub at the back of his neck.]

Oh, oops. Anyway, guess I'm here forever. Could be worse, yeah?

Well... yeah, I guess so. I mean, I still... I miss people from home... but it could definately be worse!!
