I don't know what to do, or where I lost my way

[Teru doesn't know where he is. This is bad, it's terrifying, but it's not the worst thing, which is that he doesn't know how he got to wherever this is. He knows exactly where he ought to be - in Kamchatka, huddled inside a crowded tent among dozens of other people with nothing to do now that the fields are frozen. And he was there, just a few seconds ago - surely only that long - and now...

...he's in a building. With walls, and a floor, and doors. And once upon a time he'd have thought those things looked better than wool and canvas and plastic sheeting, but now he doesn't think sturdy or secure, he only thinks trapped. They could corner him so easily, in a place like this, and he wouldn't know where to run to.

Tied at his side with thick, fraying rope is a steel crowbar, and now he grips it in both hands, preparing to swing. He turns, slowly, looking up and down the corridor, and then he reaches inside his long, black coat, which is one of the few things he's wearing that were always his. Beneath it are layers on layers, sweaters and shirts and tattered black trousers all fading to the same kind of grey. His hands and face are the only parts of him exposed to the air, and the skin on them is red and cracked from cold.

He takes most of a pair of glasses from his inside pocket. The frames are tied together with string, and one lens has popped out. He was going to try to fix that again, while there was enough light. The remaining lens is clouded with scratches, but it helps, a little. He puts them on, and scans the corridor again.

Still nothing.

The simplest explanation is that he's lost his mind. He finds himself hoping that that's true, even though he'll be no good to anyone if that's the case and he can't get himself back. It would make sense, at least. More than any of the alternatives.

But then, Teru's faith in a rational world died years ago.]

[[ooc: so yeah. He's from the World War Z AU-verse, same as faithinthefire. All you really need to know about that is, there was a zombie apocalypse a few years ago. Most of the remaining population of what used to be Japan is now living in a refugee camp in the Russian Far East, which is where Teru ought to be, except for the part where he's now in the third-floor corridor of the mansion.

And also, he has difficulty speaking. Tags will probably be slow for this reason - lots of description, not much conversation. :/ The mun will do her best to keep things from trailing off into nothingness.]]
