It has been a long while since Ritsuka has been out and about after being back in her world reliving and redoing the circle of her life she finds herself back in the mansion. "Woahhhh....",Matsuda almost says, but controls himself. He never met a girl version of L, so it came as a swift shock when he entered the kitchen so abruptly. He smiles embarrassedly, making his way to the cupboards,"..uh, hey",he greets them meekly.

"Hello Matsuda," L greets "I don't believe we've met. I am Ritsuka."

Matsuda shakes his head. She was right that they've never met before. he supposses that 'Ritsuka' is a female version of the name 'ryuuzaki' as he grabs the tea out of the shelves. "hehe, nice to meet you",he nods awkwardly.

"Pleased to meet you. Are you new?" She asks stabbing a bit at her cake before taking a bite at the piece she picked up.

Matsuda paused and shook his head,"Not really i guess.. Ive been here for a little while." he shrugs. He glances at the kettle and then asks,"uhm, did you want some tea, too?"

"Sure." Ritsuka gave a half smile. "What is or was your world like if you mind me asking."

"uhm...",Matsuda blinks up at the celing as he thinks for a moment, setting up the tea as he does. "I, uh...Your a guy..",he says slowly, feeling like an idiot. he tries to think of more."and your double had tried to capture kira..-"

"My double.." L thinks for a second.. her double... her double... "Beyond Birthday? or Near.." she trails off in thought trying to remember who would be her double in the male side.

"oh!",Matsuda facepalms. "sorry, i meant, your male version of yourself. Not, uh..-",he stops. He's always felt dumb in fromt of L's or Light's.

"Ive never even met Beyond Birthday or Near in my world." he shrugs. He pays attention to the tea once again, and soon the boiling water ws finished. He set a cup in front of her before going and drinking his own.

"Where were you in your world when you arrived here?" Curious now she watches Matsuda for a minute then looks to the teacup set in front of her. Ritsuka grabs the sugar cube container and proceeds to make her drink as sweet as it can get.

"hmm...",he looks into his cup. he drinks his tea straight without anything added. "When i first came here, i was in a coffee shop..and just sorta faded here",he rubs the back of his head. "I wasnt able to be misa's fake manager no more, so i had nothing much left to do..",he explains, sipping his drink.

"I see.. I did the same thing when I first came here. I was enroute to a new hotel carrying just my laptop when I came here. So I guess it targets randomly. However.. when I return to my world it was as if I never left." Ritsuka stirs in her sugar and takes a sip.

"How far is your case going?"

"THATS WHAT IT- *ehehm*" he stops to make himself calm down,"Thats the same thing that happned to me when i left",he smiles.

He looks at the ground once again. as he thinks about how far theyd ever get in the kira case back in his world "...Misa and light are pretty much leading the investigation ever since Ryuuzaki died." he takes a few laarge gulps out of is tea. "So my world is screwed." he adds.

"Ah so your universe's L died. I was hoping to meet someone who's didn't." She gives a sad smile then shakes the expression away.

Matsuda felt bad for L's death, especially the one in his world, because he knew that he did have a chance at stopping it, if only he had been a little smarter and figured things out on his own...

"...yeah..I told Ryuuzaki that light was kira when i went back...but he ended up not even having a note at the time. It was really Misa who was the brains of their little operation..",he rubbed the back of his head.

He looked back at them,"...Did-..you didnt die, did you?",he asked carefully.
