Misa walked down the steps of the Sakura TV studio. She swung her brief-case slightly by her side, and when she got to out the door the place suddenly changed before her eyes. "What?..." She wondered aloud. She was in a large hallway. This wasn't outside. This wasn't the outside of the Sakura TV studio. Where was she? She stopped dead in her tracks

*Mel's coming from the library with a heavy, antique-looking book, and isn't certain she recognizes the girl until she hears the name 'Rem.'*

Misa rasies an eyebrow. "Um...interdenominational? What does that mean?"

It's like a crossroads between universes. *She looks at her nails--dark blue at the moment--and flicks an invisible speck of dust from one.*

You'll probably run into some people you know here. Different versions of yourself, for example.

She still doesn't understand but figures she will eventually.

"Different versions of myself?!"

Mm-hm. From parallel worlds. I've even met some versions of me who're boys. I'm Mel, by the way.

[ooc: Oh, I forgot to say! I don't know if movie!Misa has the eyes, but Mel's name would appear as Mihaela Keehl.]

"I'm Amane Misa. Pleased to meet you Mel. Boy versions?"

Yeah. They're fucking weird. *She grins.*

People get dragged here from all sorts of places. The common thread seems to be this Kira case. *She says it as neutrally as she can manage, as if it's something she has no direct experience with.*

"Kira?.." She seems mildly interested. She doesn't want anyone to know she worships Kira.

Serial killer or something. *Dismissively.*

She nods quickly. "Yeah..." She'd say more but her stupid manager forbid her of talking about Kira to the press. But Mel certainly didn't look like the press....
