[ Though Beyond isn't brand new to the Mansion, he's still new enough to be lost very easily. He's still a bit wobbly from earlier, from when he'd passed out from a mysterious fever, but he's well enough to be wandering around. He does stumble a few times, but that's mostly because he's staring at his feet and chewing the edge of his over-sized

[And, enter Mello. Apparently, he's looking around for a certain ghost (and some people will know that's a load of bullocks), but he stops when he spots Beyond.]

How many of you are there in this place? [He appears to be slightly annoyed, but also very very amused.]

[ OSHI-- That's... that's M's voice! M was here? B squeaks and backs away, stumbling into a wall and putting his hands over his head, cowering. ]

Beyond is sorry! Beyond didn't mean to look at God, he swears!

[Mello is... thrilled, to say the least. The very least. He laughs a little, but it's hollow and humorless.]

Now why would you do a stupid thing like that, Beyond?

[ He whimpers a little. ]

[Mello seems to consider this for a bit, pressing a hand to his chin and humming to himself. Then, he grins, and lashes forward. It looks like he's going to punch Beyond right across the face, but at the very last minute all he really does is tap his knuckles against B's forehead lightly. What? You honestly thought he was going to do something?]

[ Beyond stares, the entire time, looking terrified. He winces when the fist comes flying at him, and whimpers, but... the punch doesn't come. Beyond looks confused. ]

...W-what?
Beyond thought... thought... Why didn't M hit Beyond?

I did hit you. [He even flicks his forehead right were his knuckles touched for emphasis.]

And maybe if you do anything else wrong, I'll hit you even harder. [Is that a subtle way of saying 'be good or else'? Mello thinks so.]

[ He flinches, and holds a hand to his head where Mello had flicked him. ]

S-sorry! Sorry, Beyond will behave, sorry, he won't... won't look up at God anymore, he promises.

[ He stares down at his feet, looking like a kicked puppy. ]

[Mello laughs again, and reaches out to pat Beyond once on the head.]

Good boy. [He then moves past him, grinning smugly, only to disappear in a puff of smoke not seven feet away.]
