There's a body in the kitchen. It's skin is translucent, except the patches covered in the oozing, green rash. Pus has crusted on what remains of it's clothes. One half of the forehead and the jaw have caved in, green and oozing and unable to hold up to whatever pressure was put on them when the body fell.

N is not having the best of days. At all. Light was being unusually demanding, not to mention Ryuk's mocking was starting to get out of hand. He just needed to get everything under control, just needed to figure something out before he finally acted. Food before he finally starved to death, and then some more thinking in his room

His eyes flicker upward towards the voice, and the muscle in his jaw tenses considerably at the sight of an L.

"It's a body. Obviously." Pursing his lips somewhat, he tilts his head and tugs a finger in his hair. "I don't know anything else yet."

"Me neither."

Does this L know he's Kira? N isn't quite sure. He doesn't know how many people Near has told. But that seems rather irrelevant now. Still, he's unusually twitchy around the L regardless--not like the body helps that aspect much.

"...probably male. Dark hair. But it's too decomposed to tell much else."

His gaze flicks back to the body, dismissing the flash of anger at being called 'Near'.

"It can't be. It's... decomposing."

The horror barely manages to tinge his voice.

*It lets out a burbling breath.*

N curses almost immediately, and he might have jumped, but he wouldn't admit it.

"Holy...

"...it has to be dead. Or... it's the mansion. It needs to be. It can't be real."

"Of course I'm r-right."

The shake in his voice says anything but.

"It's the mansion. Transported a corpse. It's not alive. Sometimes, it appears like it's breathing, but that's just air pockets releasing themselves. It's not alive. It's not breathing."
