(no subject)
Woohoo I signed up for classes! I decided to finish what I started, so I'm gonna stick it out and get a degree in computer science most likely. Still going to work full time so I have about a month more to relax and lounge around then time to turn discipline mode on again. So WoW is going to have to go, or have a severe restriction in time spent. But that's fine.
Work is still going really good, I love it. I got selected from my store to go to some checker challenge thing, even though I've worked there less than two months. Every store sends one checker and they do gay competitve things.I'm not surprised however~ Second year in a row woot. The thing is probably gay as hell but it looks good careerwise! Terrell also told me I'm the best closing manager he's had. Haha @ Jose.
The other night I had all my work done an hour early so I was walking around the store making sure things were running smoothly, and mainly keeping an eye on the liquor department because we have a toooon of theft. The layout of the store is real stupid, so jacking a bottle and getting out the store is easy. So I see two guys walk in about my age, both wearing baggy clothing. Then one dude asks me if we're open 24 hours, I tell him we close at 1. Then he says, "alright let's get some shopping done". And he has no basket, or cart. Tip #1! I then walk over by liquor and check it out real quick, while those two guys head over to the meat department which is close by. I then head to the back of the store to get another view of them, and they put down some thing of meat they were looking at and head to liquor. Tip #2! So I walk past liquor a couple times, and each time they both glance over at me as I walk by. I then walked outside to see if they had a ride waiting for them right outside incase they lifted something. Nothing right by the store, but there was one car nearby with its lights on and some people in the car, and a truck also with its lights on and some guys inside. I go back inside, and as I do, one of the two dudes walks out of the store. Then his buddy who is like 20 feet behind him starts walking out. And he has a big bulge in his pocket. I get in his way and tell him to lift up his shirt, and either he didn't want to or was frozen in fear, so I do it for him, and sure enough there's a big bottle of Jagermeister chillin in his pocket. I take it and proceed to tell him to never come back or I'd have him arrested for trespassing. As I'm saying this they both take off running, so with bottle of Jager in hand I chase after them outside. As I'm running through the parking lot I pulled out my cell phone and pretended to be on the phone with the cops just to scare them off so they wouldn't come back. I keep running after them, and as they run across the street, one of the guys (the one without any merchandise) runs into an apartment complex, and the other guy gets into a truck that stopped in the middle of the road, his ride. I sprint real quick to catch a license plate, get it, turn around, and notice a cop shining his bright light towards the apartments. I run over to him, point him at the truck and tell him they just stole alcohol. I go back to the store to make sure everything's ok, come back out like 10 minutes later and sure enough they caught both guys haha. The guy that ran to the apartment complex tried to play it off and was like "aww man that wasn't me that was in the store, right?" as if we were buddy buddy lol. I was like "umm no you and your pal came in together, 'shopped' together, and basically left together". Hope he enjoys his arrest~ And wow @ cops being in the right place at the right time. The planets must've been aligned.
