Some Things Worthy Of Mention
I'm not going to be the world's most attentive mod for the next few weeks. I'll be participating in NaNoWriMo, which is going to be eating my life during the course of November. This is not to say that I will not run the community. I fully intend to do so. However, it's going to mean a couple of scalebacks.
1. For this week, Halloween? I'm not sure if I'll get the chance to read your fics, so there may not be a mod's choice this week--that depends on how many of you post after Saturday. I knew that this might be a problem when I decided to extend the deadline--I don't usually have time to read fanfiction on any day besides Saturday, and this week it's even less likely--but I figured it'd be good to give you guys an extension anyway. I don't want anybody's Halloween celebrations made less fun by looming deadlines. There will definitely be mod's choice awards every week besides this in November, and I will read and comment on everything after this week. And this week, I will try. I just can't guarantee anything.
2. My lovely friend reka will be taking care of the voting for week #31. I'm going to be going straight from a Halloween party to my grandma's birthday party on Sunday, and I won't be anywhere near a computer until at least Sunday evening. Voting will end at 10 AM on Tuesday, which is around when I'll announce the winner (or winners, depending on how things go).
Hopefully none of this is a problem! I want to be a good mod, but I also have a life to attend to. (Though participating in NaNo hardly qualifies me for having a life...) If it is a problem, then we're sorry, but we'll have to take you off the waiting-list for having sex with Mikami. We don't want to do that, but there are so many people on that list now that really, we'll use any excuse to give the poor man's dick a rest.
The comm will hopefully run quite smoothly despite these little hitches. Also, if anyone else here is going to be doing NaNo this year, I'm SunMoonAndSpoon, so add me and we'll squee about it together or something. Good luck to anyone who's participating, and all of you have a fabulous Halloween! ♥
