Kinks: Obsession, revenge, non-con or dub-con, maybe a bit of knifeplay
So, B wasn't killed by Kira. In fact, a few years later, he hears a rumor that L died, and gains the motivation to escape from prison to find out when, where, and how. Eventually, he finds Light.
Beyond Birthday has always wanted to be better than L. He failed. Yagami Raito succeeded. Beyond Birthday must now best him.
Not because he wants to be the best, though. No, B feels that Light won dishonestly, and he needs to show Light that he did not deserve that. If Light can be bested by someone who failed to beat L, then he never would have beaten L honestly.
Unfortunately for Light, B's not interested in bringing Kira to justice. He just wants Kira to know where he stands.
TL;DR Remember how Mello said in the Another Note prologue that Kira "was not even worth the dirt beneath L's shoes" under normal circumstances? B feels the same way, and he wants Kira to know this. Unfortunately for Light, B's not exactly...sane.
Bonus points if, at some point, Raito realizes that he can't talk his way out of this because he's dealing with a psychopath. And also for the mention of B's Eyes.
