He opened his eyes and watched as Light screamed.
Beyond was kneeling between Light’s spread legs holding a knife. It wasn’t as bad as L had thought it would be. The knife had already made quick work at cutting Light’s shirt to ribbons and it seemed Beyond was carving something into Light’s chest. Something that he was blocked from seeing. Light was tugging on the bonds that kept him bound to the bed and at the mercy of his insane former successor.
It was probably painful. He tugged on his bonds in hope of finding a break in them large enough to escape, to help Light. Beyond had lowered his head to the cuts he made on Light’s chest and was licking them, he turned to L and gave him a bloody grin, “Enjoying the show, Lawli?”
He wasn’t even going to ask how Beyond knew his real name, he would have prior to the second Kira, but Misa could see these things, so why not Beyond. The knife slit Light’s pants, not pulling away enough to stop little cuts as thin and small as paper cuts from appearing. The cuts weren’t enough for Light to bleed to death from, but L was worried about the unseen cuts on the other’s chest.
“Oh, is Light-kun not enjoying himself?” Beyond taunted. “Well, blame Lawli, I can be gentle when the mood suits me, but Lawli was being bad, so you had to be punished.”
Beyond stabbed the knife into the headboard of the bed, leaving it there, dripping Light’s blood on the genius’ head. L could see blood stains on Beyond’s clothes and the rags that were still attached to Light were soaked in the life giving red liquid. Beyond run a hand along Light’s chest drawing a pained hiss from the other.
L winced in sympathy. Beyond lifted his blood soaked hand almost in rapture of the red liquid. He licked his palm clean. “Light-kun’s blood tastes divine.”
L watched as Beyond struck like a snake, shoving two of those blood coated fingers into Light’s ass. Light arched off the bed and let out a cry of pain, tears falling down his cheeks to mix with the blood on the bed.
“Light-kun is tight here, Lawli,” Beyond said, grinning at the observer. “And as much as you consciously deny it, you’re turned on.” He turned back to his victim and said in a sing-songy voice, “You hear that, Light-kun, Lawli is pervert-san.”
Even though L could not see, he knew when Beyond added another finger, Light’s whole body tensed like a spring. He didn’t cry out though, save his voice for what he knew was to come. And much to his own shame, he was turned on. His cock had hardened at the idea of calm cool Light Yagami naked.
Another yell, he dragged his eyes up from where they had looked down at his own traitorous body. Beyond’s hands were visible, he must have entered Light in that moment of distraction. He wondered if Light was feeling a betrayal of body, too. By his moans, he would say so. Light arched off the bed again, and Beyond kissed him.
An apology? No, Beyond cared about no one but himself. What was the meaning of the kiss? It drove him to distraction.
Was it just another way of “defiling” the boy?
Light gave a cry and another as he came under the cruel grip of Beyond Birthday. The second cry was the cum hitting his open wounds and causing them to sting more. That couldn’t be good feeling.
A minute later Beyond came as well. He lay there on the panting, bound Light for several minutes.

Light was really finding the sappy side of his lover interesting. Sure it had hurt when he carved into his chest, but the message of love was sweet. Ryuzaki had carved a heart that had BB + K written inside of it. He could only assume that BB were Ryuzaki’s true initials. Ryuzaki had really played this rape scene up.
He saw all of L’s reaction and it had taken every ounce of self control not to show his satisfaction. He wondered what Ryuzaki was going to do with the Detective because he bet L could identify his lover’s apartment and he didn’t want Ryuzaki going back to prison.
Ryuzaki got off him and he pouted.
“Don’t be like that, Kira-kun,” Ryuzaki said with a grin. He looked at L, “Oh, I said that in front of you, hmm...I must keep my love’s secret...”
He could see L’s widened eyes as he saw the result of his carvings. Sure it was really distorted from the blood and semen, but for a detective of L’s calibre it was legible, barely.
“Well, Ryuzaki, if you let me go, maybe we could have fun with fire,” Light said.
“Oh, you give me such wonderful ideas,” the older serial killer said, unstrapping the bindings keeping the younger tied to the bed. “But first we need to wrap your wounds.”
“True, and I need to put on some clothes,” Light said, sitting up.

He had imagined that Kira would kill him. A heart attack just like all the others he never imagined that Kira was willing to kill people with other means. He wished he could alert the investigators, but he didn’t wear one of the tracking belts, an oversight on his part, a fatal one.
He didn’t take comfort in the fact that Watari was probably already looking for him. He didn’t take comfort in the fact that he knew the identity of Kira. He didn’t take comfort in the fact that his two greatest enemies were working together to kill him. He didn’t take comfort in the fact that Mello and Near would be taking over for him.
It was only now that he realized that he was afraid of death. He felt the numbing effects of the drugs take effect. He smelt the gasoline they poured over him. He saw the bright light of the flames, reflecting on matching killer eyes. He saw the Wara Ningyo and realized that he had missed one important detail about the BB murders, the fourth wasn’t originally going to be a suicide.
Beyond wanted him dead.
Kira wanted him dead.
Apart they would have likely failed.
Together they succeeded beyond their wildest imaginations.
