He grunted and tensed as Mello entered him a second time, his eyes watering. Still, he leaned down and wrapped his lips around the metal cradled in Near's thighs. He was startled when Near grabbed the back of his head and began directing him up and down the barrel. He gagged every time he was forced down and hit his front teeth against the sight every time he was pulled back up. His position was so awkward that he would have fallen forward were Mello not holding his handcuffs like reins, and he worried what would happen if he were let go with the gun in his mouth.

"Near," Mello breathed, "I'm surprised. I always imagined you'd be more demure."

"I apologize, Mello," Near said, pausing and releasing Light's head. "Would you prefer that I change what I'm doing?"

Wordlessly, Near pushed Light's head back and gave the gun to L.

"You are doing very well," L said encouragingly to Near as he accepted the revolver.
