went to a Hannukah party last night...
It was like it was created with me in mind! Deborah made 700 bite sized latkes with all organic ingredients. There were no jelly donoughts, apple sauce or chocolate gelt to tempt me or make me ill, just 700 delicious, bite sized latkes. And oodles of menorahs. and a keyboard player, guitarist and violinist, and and over an hour of singing! Andrew and I got there a little early and Deborah asked me to trim the wicks of the candles in the menorahs we were going to light as she confessed that she always sweats bullets before the musicians and the bulk of the guests arrive. Which reminded me that I'm not the only one to get pre-party nerves.
My friend Amanda did a S'vivon sing off with Nancy. and Amanda and I led a round of Mi Yemalel (Who can Retell?) which was *so* much fun!
