Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving this year was good. No major battles were waged. Noone left the room crying (at lease while the entire family was in the house...) The food was great (I pat myself on the back for this onw.) And...all in all, I'm left sort of looking forward to doing it all again in a few short weeks when Christmas converges upon us.

So much to be thankful for this year. I love my new church. I can't imagine being anywhere else. My pastors are awesome, and this church is on track to grow exponentially. The awesome thing is the vision for the church. My pastor doesn't want it to become a megachurch. Once we hit a certain number, he wants to split the church, creating another branch of the church. I love meeting in a movie theater. It's refreshing...no pressure to pay off a mortgage, no pressure to wash the toilets or vacuum the rugs. We're growing, and we are all learning together. It's a really great place to be.

I'm thankful to be back in NJ...for now. I admit that I am more than a little antsy right now...I want so desperately to hop on a plane to anywhere for a while. That will not occur for a bit, so I'm learning how not to yearn to be somewhere else. All in all, God is teaching me so much about myself, about Him, about Who He is.

So, HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL, albeit a day late.
