Being the first 'licious event that I've attended, it was pretty good. Online, you would hear these reviews where these 'licious events are disastrous so I was worried that the night might not be a good night.
Prior to going, I was looking into the website and reviews and I noticed that this place was a fine dining restaurant with a casual business dress code. Snap... Have to dress up.
Got there and was seated... first thing I saw was 3 forks and 2 knives. Snap... would've paid attention to those fine dining etiquette website if I knew. I don't think I screwed up but someone tell me if i'm wrong.
1. 2 forks the same size so I assume one was for the appetizer and one was for the main course.
2. one smaller fork so I assumed it was for dessert
3. Two knives. One was a butter knife and the other one had a fatter handle so I assume that was the meat kinfe. Butter knife for the bread/appetizer and the other for the main course to cut into steak.
Wore a sweater over a dress shirt so I was pretty business casual that night. Two korean friends were seated next to us afterwards. Guy was in a polo and jeans... and I thought... "whew... I'm glad I'm not under dressed" Other people in the restaurant were wearing suits and dress shirts so I did sort of panicked. The GF looked beautiful with her blouse and skirt. It was my first time seeing her in a skirt.
My gf always tells me she doesn't think she's beautiful and etc etc. Some people do it for the attention (you know those that goes "i'm ugly" and you answer "You're beautiful" and they go "no i'm not" but secretly think "tell me more!") but she believes she's not beautiful. Hopefully, after yesterday, she believes otherwise. The more beautiful she thinks she is, the more treats I get from her.
This is the first date we've had outdoors in 2011.
