I'm to old for this....

I am so tired.

The last few days have been pretty low key, but week before last was to much for my old butt.  My good friend Heather is leaving for Europe in a few days and then going immediatly to college in Knoxville so we are trying to spend more time together.  She has this mental list of things she wants to do and one of them was go to a club.  No, she's never been to a club.  And me, being the expert that I am at it, or use to be at anyway, she wanted me to take her out.  So I did and we did it the way you should.  We closed down the club and went home with the DJ.:)  So, that ended up being an all-nighter to start off my wild week.  Urm, let me clarify, nothing happened w/ said DJ, but for me an all-nighter is on the wild side these days.  That was Sunday.

Monday we went went to work after about 3 hours of sleep and then went and swam that night at the house Heather was sitting at and just talked and floated around for a while.  We worked a lot that week and swam alot.  Thursday I hung out with a friend most of the night and then stayed at another friends house to meet JTB on Friday.

Friday night was Duran Duran and that kicked at least 8 tons of ass.  I mean, those old guys tore it up for like 2 hours and 20 minutes.  I was impressed, and it was good, very good.  And the seats....  Lordy.  Yup, good show.  We even stalked them at the hotel, but had no luck, damn it!

Saturday was a spontanious trip to meet DD because JTB had wona radio contest that got us a dressing room next door to the bands and all that comes with that particular priviledge.  It was amazing to meet them - SOOOO surreal and wonderful to me.  I mean, they are my Beatles.  I stayed for about an hour af the show, but I left because I had to get back and get at least some sleep.

Sunday morning I got up and drove to Chatt. for my grandfather's 100th birthday, which went very well.  All the children, grandchildren and most of the great-grandchildren came.  Me and mom drove back and after I ate for the first time in 3 days I collapsed!  A week later and after sifting through something like 200 pics to find the right ones to develope and getting my poster in to get framed and writing my account of the DD experience for dd.com, I am just about done!

So, here's to no alarms and no suprises for a while!

I will miss Heather so much, but I'm so proud and so happy for her.  I want her to be successful at school and I think she will.  She's older and making good decisions for herself.

Katie, I saw some earrings at Claires (Rivergate location) today that you should pick up.  Pretty red cherries, stems and all.  I thought of you when I saw them.  When does our Angel return, do you know?

Okay, enjoy the pics, I'm signing off!  Be good to each other!  dmsiren

Hee hee, Simon just kissed me on the cheek!
