Intro post
It got pointed out to me that I should do an intro post thingy here, since it's the 'in' thing. Player of dirk__gently and assorted chars here, with an OC. He doesn't have a name, although around the household we've been referring to him as 'whitey' for lack of anything better.
The character concept actually came from a dream and has been floating around in my brain for about six months. On his own world he's one of a number of very pale, mysterious people whose purpose in life is to fight beings they call the Devouring Dark. A better description of what his people do is in the post on his journal.
He's a vaguely paladin-type character, which is unusual for me. He is a very good warrior but he only fights if attacked or in protection of someone who clearly needs it. He's very old by human standards but his kind aren't very social so he's fairly naive. He's very friendly and curious about everyone and everything, and likes children especially because they have a similar nature. He can't speak, but writes just fine. If the grammatically incorrect shorthand he writes in bugs anybody, let me know and I'll ease off on it.
