More on the new vehicle....
Okay, let me explain that I am simultaneously excited about owning a new vehicle, yet fearful of the cost of owning said vehicle. I realize that Kathy needed another vehicle - her car likely won't last another 6 months, much less a year. However, this is the single largest purchase I have ever made in my life. For all of my previous vehicles, I have either had them handed-down from my parents or have paid another owner directly, and it has never been more than $1000. It's a little staggering to me to think about paying over $300 a month for 72 months for a vehicle. I never thought we would be approved for financing and I never thought we'd get this nice of a vehicle, much less an SUV. It's an extremely nice vehicle - too nice. I keep thinking that there's gotta be something wrong with it, or that we'll never be able to afford it or the insurance, or a hundred other things. In short, I'm still in shock over the whole process...
