Some days are not so bad as they first appear...
Well, today started out like it was going to be a pretty ugly day. I woke up with a massive headache, then Kathy said that she wasn't feeling well and wouldn't be going in to work. Okay, I can deal with that. Took too long in the shower, so I was starting to run late. Cruised close to 90 on 465 and managed to get here on time and with a few minutes to spare. Cool. The phones are not horridly busy today, so that's pretty decent. Then I got a little award package from our QA dept. handed to me for doing so well on my calls lately. Very Cool! Now things are starting to look up. The only downside to this is whenever we get these little certificates, we should be able to submit the bottom stub to be entered into a drawing for other cool stuff. Unfortunately, since I'm still a temp/contractor, I cannot enter those drawings. Oh well. As it is, I am now down to 1 month before I can apply to this job as a permanent position. :) I guess a shitty starting day can get better. :)
